JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the rental fleet. Perform PM Service for equipment in the rental fleet. Help manufacturing and packaging all types of HVAC and rental products. Teach other technicians refrigeration techniques and train them for HVAC field service.
COMPETENCIES LIST AND DESCRIBE:
Technician Troubleshoot HVAC and Chiller systems.
Coach and develop other HVAC technicians in troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Develop a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan for maintaining our entire HVAC Fleet and for other technicians to follow.
Repair and make modifications to the HVAC System. Analyze, Plan, and Perform Preventive Maintenance of HVAC and Chiller System. Maintain and repair pumps. Assist with Chiller packaging and design.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma. A two-year degree from recognized HVAC Tech School
Five-Ten years of experience as an HVAC Technician. Experience in a supervisory role of other technicians. EPA Universal Certification
York, Carrier or Trane Factory trained on Air-cooled Chillers 30 ton – 500 ton.
Able to read electrical schematics. Ability to organize work and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication. Able to identify components in advanced refrigeration circuits. Understand how each component works. Able to diagnose and correct problems in the refrigeration circuits. Understand manifold gauge set. Understands refrigeration recovery, evacuation, and charging. Understands the installation and sizing of refrigerant piping.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (15-50 pounds), sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, some travel within the area and occasionally outside the area, may experience prolonged and irregular work hours, and work with frequent interruptions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
