Position Title: Hyperion Planning/Essbase Administrator
Position Description/Job Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for administrative support and maintenance of KBR’s Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications. The individual will administer quarterly forecast and annual budget processing in the Planning / Essbase applications, maintain forecast and budget reports, perform application testing, and maintain process documentation. Activities performed during the quarterly / annual forecasting / budgeting processes include updating web forms, prepping the system for user input, updating metadata on an ongoing basis and providing end-user support. The position requires collaboration with the HFM / DRM team to support efficient data movement between systems. The position will also work with KBR’s Hyperion Infrastructure team to ensure coordination of the automated consolidation and user notification processes. The individual will be responsible for the application functional support from problem diagnosis and analysis through problem resolution. Additionlly, this position will analyze and help to design solutions to ensure that Hyperion Planning / Essbase system functionality aligns with business processes.
Education & Experience
BS in Accounting or Information Systems; MBA or CPA a plus
At least 7+ years Hyperion Planning / Essbase experience, preferably in a support environment
Recent experience with version 18.104.22.168.X
At least 5+ years experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting
Certification in Hyperion Essbase and/or Hyperion Planning desired
Knowledge of Hyperion Planning (web forms, calc manager, and security)
Advanced knowledge of Essbase (BSO / ASO cube design, load Rules, calculation scripts, partitioning, and Maxl Scripts)
Knowledge of EAL (SQL a plus)
Strong Excel / Smart View analytical skills
Experience in Hyperion Financial Management, FDM / FDMEE, DRM a plus
Advanced analytical skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to meet changing deadlines
Strong knowledge of financial systems, accounting, and business processes
Ability to work independently and also as a team member in a high-energy environment and keep management adequately informed
Possess self-motivation and a proven record of managing time and work
Desire to partner with team to create and improve methodologies
