Randstad is now hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing team at a production facility in Fairfield County!

We’re looking for audacious optimists and innovative thinkers to help us meet food’s toughest challenges. The Industrial Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining plant processing, facility and support equipment. This position is critical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Responsibilities

•Installing new production equipment.
•Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
•Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
•Troubleshooting mechanical & electrical breakdowns.
•Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
•Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
•Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
•Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.

The essential functions of this role include:

•working in a smoke free environment
•wearing steel toe shoes
•manual lifting up to 50lbs
•working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
