A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INSURANCE CLAIMS PROCESSOR / INSURANCE CLAIMS ADJUSTER
- Examine/perform research and make decisions necessary to properly adjudicate claims and written inquiries.
- Interpret contract benefits in accordance with specific claim processing guidelines.
- Understand broad strategic concept of our business and link these to the day-to-day business functions of claims processing.
- Minimal external contact with providers/agents/policyholders.
- At least 1 year of related experience
- Experience with Medicare supplement
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes
- Decision-making skills
Experience with medical terminology is preferred. Have you processed medical health insurance claims from initializing to finalizing payments? Are you organized and attentive to detail?
