The Integrated Mission Software Systems team seeks an innovative Software Engineer to work in software development for the aerospace and defense industry.
This position is for a highly motivated software engineer to work with a team of engineers whose charter is to design and develop software to enable Command and Control in the modern battlespace. The team is focused on advancing technologies to expand capabilities and functionality of current and future communication and situational awareness systems for our customers.
You will develop and verify highly reliable software for our current and future products and programs. This position will be part of the Global Joint Fires team. We are focused on hiring a team player with a genuine curiosity and dedication to support our military customers.
Developing software design, implementing software, integrating software on target platforms, and peer reviewing software and systems artifacts.
Collaborate with system and software engineers to address software issues found during verification and validation
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong teamwork skills
Excellent grasp of computer science fundamentals and concepts
Ability to write well-organized code that establishes future enhancements
1+ years developing in Java
The following skills are preferred but not required:
Windows programming experience: C++ using Visual Studio
Experience or familiarity with communication systems
Networking experience (TCP/IP, UDP)
US military experience
Atlassian Tool Suite – Jira, Jama, Bamboo, Crucible, Fisheye & Confluence
Familiarity with the use of Git in revision control and source code management
Applicant must be able to qualify for a security clearance with the U.S. Government.
U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited institution
- Must have GPA of 3.0
- Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework
