Our client's Silicon Valley office is seeking an Intellectual Property Docketing Specialist for the IP Prosecution, Transactions and Strategy Practice Area. The Intellectual Property Docketing Specialist maintains accurate record-keeping in the docketing database.

â€¢ Audit, enter and update filing due dates and reminders in the docketing database
â€¢ Receive and review incoming foreign correspondence and docket accordingly
â€¢ Process incoming PCT correspondence
â€¢ Maintain and clear electronic daily dockets in database
â€¢ Review Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) electronic filing system (EFS) and Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) receipts and process updates in the docketing database
â€¢ Prepare and distribute reports for upcoming filing deadlines
â€¢ Verify matter statuses from the US Patent Office
â€¢ Download patent office correspondences and distribute to docketing specialists
â€¢ Handle routine research of rules and resolve docketing issues
â€¢ Cross-check filing date entries from peers to confirm database accuracy
â€¢ Provide back-up support for other offices as needed
â€¢ Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
â€¢ Minimum of 5 year of experience in computerized docket databases
â€¢ International patent knowledge required
â€¢ Familiarity with federal, state, and local Intellectual Property laws and regulations
â€¢ Knowledge of docketing software
â€¢ High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
â€¢ Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
â€¢ Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
â€¢ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
â€¢ Strong written and verbal communication skills
â€¢ Strong organizational and problem solving skills
â€¢ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
