The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Manager will work for one of the state’s premier healthcare organizations. Reporting to the Critical Care Administrative Director, the ICU RN Manager will oversee the intensive care unit to maintain clinical standards. As the Critical Care Nurse Manager, you will be part of a multifaceted team of Staff Nurses, ICU Clinical Educators, Critical Care Nurse Specialists, ICU Techs, Intensivists, Charge Nurses, and Respiratory Therapists. You will be in charge of ensuring that all staff members provide quality patient-centered care that is compliant and in effect with hospital/unit policies and procedures.
The ICU Registered Nurse Manager is in charge of the daily operations of the intensive care unit, while ensuring a positive, productive work environment is curated. An understanding of evidence-based research and best practices will enable you to lead the department through state surveys and licensing. You will be responsible for staffing, which includes adequate staffing, along with the hiring of quality ICU nurses. Collaborating with healthcare leaders across the hospital is imperative to ensure a smooth continuum of care for the patient. Previous experience working in a CVICU will enable the Critical Care Nurse Manager the tools and knowledge necessary to succeed in this role.
