Internship – Safety-Kleen Systems Inc. Tacoma Washington
Safety-Kleen is the world leader in motor oil recycling technology with six facilities located throughout North America.
The intern will follow the direction of facility engineer or refinery manager.
Projects given to the engineering intern will be interesting and varied. Expect to do project work around mechanical integrity program implementation, process safety management, and general refinery troubleshooting and problem solving.
Hours can be flexible. Days, mornings, afternoons.
Days are also flexible – this is dependent upon the goals set and the time needed for completion.
Length of internship – TBD – scope at the moment provides for several months of employment and can possibly grow based on the intern’s and company needs.
Potential to grow into an engineering role within the company.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
3 years of study in Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong computer skills including word, excel, MS office
Additional that would be beneficial – Auto Cad, 3D modeling, understanding of P & IDs, understanding of the elements of Process Safety Management.
Must have the ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Desire to make safety a top priority, ability to climb stairs, work from heights in structures up to 40’, lift up to 25lbs, work in outdoor environment for extended periods of time, clear and effective communication.
