Investment Fund Manager, A&A Capital Inc., Coral Gables, FL:
Plan, coordinate and manage investment strategy and operations of A&A Capital assets and acquired
companies. Monitor and review performance of assets and portfolio companies' team. Analyze and rebalance portfolios on an ongoing basis to accomplish A&A Capital's objectives. Present investment performance and opportunities to A&A Capital management board. Grow assets under management by participating in business development efforts and by growing acquired companies. Review and analyze potential investment opportunities and companies for acquisition. Prepare and responds to RFP requests and other business development materials pertaining to acquired companies. Develop strong working relationships with portfolio companies' management and implement strategies to enhance portfolio performance. Maintain a current awareness of new investment strategies and instruments through regular contact with the investment research area and other industry professionals, as well as through personal research.
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Law or a related field and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience, or in the alternative, employer will accept a Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Law or a related field, plus 4 years of experience.
Qualifying experience must include 3 years of experience in each the following:
Experience and knowledge of Sub-Saharan African countries’ political, regulatory and economic fundamentals that can be exhibited by the candidate's academic research background.
Contribution to regulatory or financial related reports, or specific research on the Sub-Saharan African region's business environment.
Identification of small and midsize firms in Sub-Saharan African countries with revenue over $150,000.
Independently research high volume regulatory and financial data that relates to companies and/or a specific country in Sub-Saharan Africa and identifying business environment obstacles and niche market opportunities.
Handling multi-faceted activities to identify investment opportunities in selected market or companies, such as conducting due diligence, correctly presenting findings to Board of Directors, and negotiating acquisition structure.
Involvement as either a lead fund manager or advisor in 2 successful M&A's of companies in Sub-Saharan African countries.
Travel required up to 15% domestically and 40% internationally.
