Position: IT Procurement Project Manager
Duration: 4 + months on W2
Location: Tampa, FL 33634
Job Summary: The Procurement Project Manager will be responsible for effectively sourcing and contracting for IT Software and Services in accordance with established Procurement policies and guidelines.
o Lead negotiations for contractual and commercial terms for complex Agreements including Master Services Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements and Software Licensing Agreements
o Working in conjunction with IT Category Managers and Internal Stakeholders, possess the ability to understand business objectives and translate them into sourcing strategies to support those objectives
o Lead moderately to highly-complex competitive sourcing events and supplier negotiations; determine appropriate methods of procurement; solicit bids, quotations and proposals, and evaluate competitive offerings and recommend overall best offer for a product or service.
o Review and critically assess business specifications and statements of work;
o Deliver sourcing projects from commencement through to contract execution
o Support IT Category Managers in delivery of Category Plan strategies, sourcing and productivity opportunities
o Ability to effectively work with Legal Resources to articulate specific contractual areas of concern, understand which contract terms are Legal Issues vs Business Issues
o Must possess the ability to strategically negotiate both Business and high level Legal Terms and Conditions with Suppliers and Service Providers
o Apply analytics to ensure compliance by preferred suppliers and with contract terms; provide analytical tools to support management of preferred suppliers.
o Support Business Partnering & Strategy in communicating purchasing policies and procedures to users when needed.
o Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, help resolve escalated quality problems, and help identify measurements for improvement and target-setting coordinate review and respond to supplier inquiries.
o Support Business Partnering & Strategy in managing preferred suppliers using the Supplier Management methodology and compliance requirements.
o Manage selected internal and external relationships with suppliers, cross-functional and/or multi-
o functional teams.
o Master’s Degree preferred
o Minimum of 10 years Indirect Procurement experience, preferably supporting IT categories.
o At least 3 years relevant industry experience preferred, but not mandatory
o Proficiency in procurement, contract negotiations, managing contract development and compliance.
o Proficiency in ARIBA, Microsoft applications, including Word, Power Point and Excel.
Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
o Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management(CPIM)).
o Strong preference: Knowledge and proficiency with Ariba Sourcing application
