Enterprise Technology Services PMO with the Department of Information Technology seeks to hire a Project Analyst to assist with project management needs of large programs and projects currently being support. The individual needs to be self-motivated and creative with his/her work.
This position serves as a liaison primarily to internal IT Divisions. Routinely interacts with IT vendors and provides technical interpretation for required services.
Independently manages multiple small to single medium-scale IT internal business projects from inception to close, including resource management, risk identification and mitigation, quality assurance and change control.
Ensures communication between and among business proponents, stakeholders and IT management regarding assignments.
Contributes and leads improvement efforts of established guidelines, tools, templates and methodologies.
Continuously demonstrates effective use of group facilitation, team building and conflict resolution skills.
Tracks and communicates work unit activities and has broad general knowledge of information technology and institution activities.
Participates in or leads process or quality improvement efforts.
Bachelor's degree and training/experience in Information Technology or Business Management.
Other qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in information technology or business management is preferred.

Prior experience working with Microsoft Office tools including Project, Excel and Visio, as well as other project management tools is preferred. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus. Any project management related experience should be highlighted.
Evidence of strong communication, organization, problem solving and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of business systems and interfaces including IT domain and technical process flows.
Evidence of strong interpersonal skills including meeting management and organizational skills.
Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $26 per hour.
Hours / Pay period
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.
This is a limited tenure position that has been approved for the posted assignment duration. Limited Tenure (LT) means that if you are offered the position and accept it:
- You will be categorized as a regular employee during the tenure, but employment will be terminated on the established end date.
- You committed to stay in this position until the end of the tenure (8/31/2020) before you become eligible to transfer to another position.
- After the completion of the limited tenure assignment, it is your responsibility to secure another role within Mayo through the job vacancy process or employment will be ended upon the completion of the limited tenure assignment.
- Limited Tenure classified staff are not eligible for internally posted IT jobs (or for work unit only posted); however may be eligible for other Limited Tenure IT (Information Technology) positions, or other IT positions posted externally or other Non-IT opportunities.
May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.
