Description: Technical Writer to support the documentation needs for multiple stakeholders for a commercial software solution. The person hired for this position will be responsible for providing technical product documentation for the technical team, the support team, the business team and the end customer. This role requires strong alignment with product development and all the support functions. Additional responsibilities may include developing training manuals and help content.
Need documentation, training materials, end-user support manuals, user guides, help content, release notes for the significant number of software systems we are creating and deploying
Develop concise documentation and training deliverables; for example, end-user support materials, user guides, help content, release notes, compliance documentation, and project and system documentation.
Develop technical workflow and API documentation for a complex software application
Interface with internal groups such as Software Development, Business Analysts, Product Management, Support, Technical Sales, and others so that their input is included in the documentation and reviews can be performed on new or changed documentation.
Provide insight and recommendations on documentation best practices and documentation management.
Meet project deadlines
Proven ability to write about unfamiliar technologies for new and experienced users.
Ability to write high quality technical content that effectively communicates complex information clearly and concisely
Ability to organize content into a structured flow
Proven ability to develop content for both a technical customer and a non-technical customer
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with minimal work direction
Highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and ability to provide best practicing sharing within the work group.
