Shift Details - 8:30am - 5:00pm M-F, with some flexibility - Evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.

This position will have a project to pull together all of the technical documentation and end user documentation for the Information Systems department into a standard format and update it as needed. It will involve reviewing existing documentation, identifying documentation gaps, and meeting with various IS staff members and interviewing them for updates and to fill in the gaps. Additionally, develop user self-service documentation in a user-friendly format. Our documentation platform is Confluence (Confluence is easy to pick up, not a required skill).
Develops user-oriented documentation and reference manuals and other types of materials used for information distribution, training, operational or procedural purposes. Maintains a current internal documentation library. Tracks and records changes in software packages. Provides or updates user manuals to ensure currency. Documents internal departmental policies and procedures relating to the use of automated systems. Provides or coordinates special documentation services, as required. Trains users. Stays informed of new developments and technologies.
Target start date: early October (flexible)

1. Experience with documenting IT-related workflows
2. IT help desk experience
3. IT system or application administration experience
*** Experience in a medical ambulatory care center with an electronic health record would be a plus.
Top 3-5 Daily Responsibilities:
These will be for the various categories and sections of documentation, and may not all fall on the same day
1. Organizing current documentation. Applying standard format, and note date last updated
2. Interview staff to determine whether documentation is current and update if necessary
3. Interview staff to determine whether there are any gaps and to fill in additional documentation if necessary
Minimum Field of Expertise:
Relevant experience in documentation/technical writing.
