Title: Journeyman, Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer
Job Location: Fort Walton Beach, Florida (Eglin AFB)
Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Modeling & Simulation Engineer supporting The Direct Attack Division, AFLCMC/EBD, has responsibility for developing, producing, and sustaining Direct Attack Air-to-Ground weapons systems and subsystems for our nation's warfighters and foreign military customers. These products consist of the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), BLU-120, Joint Programmable Fuze (JPF), Hard Target Void Sensing Fuze (HTVSF), Medium Caliber Ammo and Foreign Military Sales of Direct Attack assets. Their mission is to advance combat capability through lifecycle management of direct attack systems and enterprise-level air armament mission planning capabilities; integrate existing standard munitions and launch platforms and integrate with C4I capabilities.

Duties include, but not limited to:
- Support design, development, production, operation and sustainment of Armament Systems located at Eglin AFB, FL
- Requires that the successful candidate have technical engineering experience in the development and testing of weapon systems with a desired specific focus on mechanical engineering principles as applied to fuze and fuze systems
- Provide resources with knowledge and experience in supporting and conducting simulation studies to include but not be limited to system and component performance, engineering trade-offs, system effectiveness, and logistics.
Design/support of mechanical fuze systems; support dynamic modeling and analysis of weapon/fuze systems (create validated models for weapons, fuzes and sensors);
Perform and review technical evaluations; support the customer with requirements development in Statement of Work (SOW) or Statement of Objectives (SOO);
Participate/conduct teleconferences; review of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submittals, specifications and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) documentation; and provide overall systems engineering support.
- US Citizen
- Current Secret Security clearance
- BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering +5 years of relevant experience; Masters in Mechanical Engineering +3 years of relevant experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to all levels of company and customer staff and management
- Must be able to work effectively on their own or as part of a team
- BS in Mechanical Engineering + 25 years relevant experience or MS in Mechanical Engineering + 15 years relevant experience
- Possible Travel required
- Ability to rent/operate rental cars while on travel
- Ability to work flexible and varied hours
