The Jr. Project Manager position supports the Project Controls, Project Management, and Construction Management teams with a variety of project management functions.
Collaborates with project managers and guides the development of individual and integrated project plans using project planning tools and processes. Support the development of standards and processes that optimize the project planning process.
Assist the Project Manager, and the project team, to define and monitor the scope of the project. Clarify the limitations or parameters of the project and clearly identify any aspects that are not to be included. Collaborate with the PM to define and document the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated for success at its completion.
Conduct periodic project reviews with the purpose of ensuring project requirements are identified and schedules represent a work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
Support the Project Manager through the of development key performance indicators. Communicate project status effectively using accepted best practices and the DLCo Project Management Manual guidance for reporting.
Facilitate lessons learned and document best practices for project execution.
Facilitate Risk Management for Capital Projects. Develop and maintain a portfolio risk register, periodically hold risk reviews with the PMs. Ensure that the project and program risk management plans are in alignment with Capital Project Manual.
Partner with the PM to identify and manage project management areas of individual responsibility that support understanding of the project deliverables and organizational goals and objectives.
Support the Project Controls, Project Management, and Construction Management teams by developing or revising processes and procedures and by developing and maintaining portfolio level tracking reports.

Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written, to ensure effective and accurate information sharing. Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one’s own time and work flow. Responsibilities are generally tactical in nature and work is typically of moderate complexity in nature requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time. Still draws on experts and managers when needed but less frequently.
Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction, problems and issues faced are vague. Draws on past experience on a regular basis. Accountable for direct level of reasoning and decision making.
