We are searching for a Junior Disaster Recovery Specialist to join our team in Rockville, MD., supporting the NRC-SNCC contract.
Provide support in the development of a government agencies emergency management
and business recovery plans.
Perform functions pertaining to the agencies business risk assessments.
Review and develop business recovery strategies; draft procedures for identifying failures
and invoking contingency plans.
Create response procedures and identify communications channels.
Communicate with various response teams during testing and actual execution of
Assist with a range of duties, including performing research, designing/editing PowerPoint slides, Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and reviewing/preparing documentation.
Strong communicator. The skills to get your point across in an effective and professional manner.
A strong “eye for editing” or experience in technical writing is highly desired.
- Assists with the logistics and coordination activities for COOP/DR Exercises, briefings, meetings, workshops and other collaborative efforts.
The candidate should be prepared to demonstrate past/current experiences of proficiency in areas of information technology, verbal and written communications, time management, organizational skills, resourcefulness and detail-orientation.
Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years DR/COOP Experience
Experience working with business recovery and/or disaster recovery planning.
Demonstrate good working knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) projects to proactively meet deadlines.
