Cohannet Academy, a program of Justice Resource Institute, is a Joint Commission-accredited 17 bed Intensive Residential Treatment Program for adolescent girls between the ages of 13 - 18, who are coping with serious mental illness and emotional disturbance along with challenging behaviors. Cohannet Academy provides a safe environment from which the girls can learn and grow. Our shared goal for each graduate of the program will be for her to reflect on her stay as a turning point in her life, a brief, focused time when she learned to believe in herself and in her future, and for her to be able to access this period of learning and partnership as a lasting resource.
Responsibilities include management of entire food supply system for the program.
Food preparation and service of food to clients and staff as determined by the Nutritionist and Board of Health guidelines.
Ordering and organization of all food for the program through food vendors.
Cleaning and organizing of all kitchen and food storage areas.
Shopping for food supplies at local venders such as farmers market or local grocery stores.
Working with clients to teach culinary and life skills.
Food and Allergy Awareness Certified
Food preparedness experience required.
High School Diploma required.
Driver’s license required.
