We have 2 part-time .8 (64 hours every two weeks) positions available in our Food Services department. Working days and evenings.
Deliver meals to rooms at designated times in a polite and friendly manner. Clean and set up dining tables and food trays. Uphold our high standards for food safety and sanitation. Listen and make note of residents' food and drink requests and needs. Assist in the kitchen as needed, including cooking, stocking ingredients, dishwashing and maintaining equipment. Inspect food, food preparation and storage areas. Communicate with medical staff to ensure nutritional goals are being met for each patient. Remove and dispose of food items that are past their expiration dates. Other duties as prescribed by Chef.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with patient needs. Must be able to walk/stand 80% of the shift. At least a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification in food services preferred. Must be able to push, pull and/or carry up to 90 pounds. Skilled in operating cooking appliances and preparing meals according to instruction
