The Supervisor Laboratory plans, organizes, and provides managerial direction for all assigned aspects of the laboratory department. The Supervisor Laboratory is responsible for overseeing the various tests, results, software systems, quality control, and pricing for the lab, as well as supervising staff. The Supervisor Laboratory provides leadership, support, problem resolution and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Department. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, developing, disciplining, engaging, and evaluating employees. The Supervisor Laboratory is expected to continuously work toward the improvement of BHH's operations and holding the team to the same standard. In coordination with the Laboratory Director, the Supervisor Laboratory is responsible for preparing lab and staff for lab inspections and maintaining all legal and regulatory standards.
Bachelor's degree, or higher, in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution required. Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent required. Must have at least 2 years of laboratory training or experience, or both in non-waived testing, in the designated specialty or subspecialty areas of service for which the technical consultant is responsible. 2+ years of Leadership experience, managing, planning and executing activities including; project management, establishing performance metrics, and employee engagement. Outstanding communication skills, excellent leadership ability, solid understanding of laboratory compliance issues.
