No. of positions: 1 - This is a Temporary Position with a duration of up to 6 Months.
Under direct supervision of a Yard Group Leader or Supervisor in charge of scheduled, mobile workers at a facility, to perform grass, wood and shrub cutting, yard slagging, snow removal and salting, general good housekeeping and related work.
Receives and follows instructions in substation and other facility clearance; safety and operating procedures.
Assists in maintaining the substation, facility or other properties in a clean, orderly condition.
Performs: grass, wood and shrub cutting; application of weed control materials, insecticides andfertilizers.
Assists in repair and restoration of yard grades, slag surfaces and drainage installations.
Performs cleaning duties such as: washing of facility interiors, removal of rubbish; washingwindows, cleaning exterior grounds, walks, driveways and yards; sweeping, mopping, waxingfloors; and, other general cleaning duties as assigned.
Assists in the removal of snow and ice from walkways.
Submits daily logs of the work performed including data entry and other reports of workperformed and unusual conditions observed.
Performs other work as required and assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Within one year must obtain a State of Pennsylvania Driver’s License, Class B, withendorsements.
