Our client, one of the largest financial services firms, is seeking a Lead Business Analyst
Location: Irving, TX
Position Type: Contract (6 months)
This individual can be responsible for a wide variety of functions supporting database marketing, list processing, and database design and development. The primary focus of the position is contributing to the development and execution of real-time marketing campaigns through the point of sale channel, including development of the instant pre-screen technology solution and marketing segmentation and criteria. Has mastered advanced skills for multiple processes and has a broad knowledge of multiple processing platforms. Is responsible for execution of either a specific portion of an Acquisition or ECM process or an entire processing specialty across multiple delivery channels or any special projects assigned by Sr. Mgmt.
Actively works with other teams in Marketing Information Management and with peers in other marketing functions to developing segmentation/execution strategies.
Provide expertise in developing complex software applications or utilizes advanced technical skills such as SQL, SAS, database concepts, mainframe and related systems in development of new processes or execution of production programs. Create MIS and support general database management activities.
Interacts with other teams within Marketing Information Management on matters regarding processing standards and procedures, audit requirements, statistics, knowledge discovery and data modeling.
Maintains a close working relationship across various functional areas - Marketing, Scoring, Credit Policy and Decision Management - in ensuring timely response to business needs and requests.
Provides information to management to help them respond to strategic initiatives.
Provides recommendations to management regarding infrastructure, operating guidelines and procedures, audit and business reporting, and timely issue resolution.
5-7 years of direct, relevant experience in both a marketing technology and a business consulting role, preferably in financial services
5-7 years strategic business analysis; aptitude in displaying and communicating technical/analytical information to non-technical constituents
Ability to create new and imaginative approaches to marketing strategies and apply them to architectural design
Ability to identify fresh approaches to marketing processes and technology and shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions
Proven ability to work cross-functionally within an organization to create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders and accomplish objectives
Ability to work independently, with strong follow-through, a flexible approach and resilience to setbacks
