TITLE: Lead Fraud Data Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Lead Fraud Data Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to work with internal business and technology partners in strategy development and implementation, including the risk and compliance teams to identify key risk indicators. Perform ad-hoc quantitative analyses using data from cardmember database, credit bureau reports, loan applications, loan decisions, and portfolio performance to explore opportunities to improve quality of loans booked. Develop and implement tests to explore opportunities to improve targeting, contact, treatment strategies, early fraud detection and fraud mitigation, application conversion and customer experience using acquisition operations data. Implement early charge-off detection statistical models. Evaluate fraud tools that could be implemented for fraud detection. Work with the implementation team to ensure the strategies are implemented accurately. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking to ensure that strategies are performing as expected and provide recommendations of changes in timely manner. Promote a risk aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and practices.
REQUIREMENTS : Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Management
Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related
quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or related
position: utilizing technologies including SQL and Excel. One (1) year of prior
experience must include performing statistical analyses including Decision
Tree, Cluster Analysis and Regression Analysis; utilizing SAS, SAS Enterprise
Miner, Teradata, SQL, Hadoop, Hive and Excel to develop fraud
strategies; and analyzing key performance indicators including loss rate,
delinquency rate and performance of strategies.
