Working under the direct supervision/licensure of the physician, the Lead Medical Assistant is an integral member of the health care team and is responsible for coordinating the pre/intra/post aspects of the medical visit. Those include direct care, registration & scheduling, physician-patient communication, precertification, scanning, supervising, order medical supplies and other office-related tasks.
Required: High school diploma/GED required with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Required: BLS, Certified Medical Assistant and must maintain active certification in both.
