Job Summary:
Established Downtown Fort Lauderdale Workers Compensation Firm has an immediate opening for a Legal Secretary for our Fort Lauderdale Office. This is a full time position.
JOB SUMMARY:
: Under attorney direction draft and prepare correspondence, motions, productio requests and response, and petitions for benefits. Receipt and review of mail.
: Prepare and track supoenas for production, depositions, and medical record mail ins
: Perform timely handling of highly sensitive issues and documents.
: Maintain attorney calendar, client IME and medica appointments, follow up and amp: confirming daily.
: Maintain and calendar claimant depositions, adjuster depositions, state mediations, private mediations, motion hearings, and final hearings
: Must have experience scheduling depositions, hearings, etc.
: E-filing and scanning and Emailing
Requirments:
: 2 to 3 years of prior civil litigation and or workers compensation experience a must.
Claimant/Plaintiff experience a plus.
: Notary License a plus
: Bilingual a plus
: E-filing experience
: Must have computer skills, and photocopying skills
: Must have excellent typing skills and data entry skills
: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
: Requires critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and organization skills
