MBD Real Estate provides debt and equity capital to commercial real estate investors, developers and companies globally, across the capital structure. MBD Real Estate invests in assets ranging from single properties to large portfolios, through senior mortgages, mezzanine debt and equity. MBD Real Estate leverages a team of investment and asset management professionals located around the world, and strong regional market relationships to source, assess, manage and make investments with a tailored local perspective.
Established in 1996, MBD Credit is one of the world’s largest alternative credit investing platforms, offering innovative and bespoke financing solutions across the risk spectrum, ranging from corporate performing credit to opportunistic and distressed situations. MBD Credit leverages its scale, expertise and embedded position within Goldman Sachs as well as deep relationships with sponsors, management teams and corporates to make credit investments to large and middle market companies in need of capital.
- Advising bankers on structuring, execution and negotiation of deal documentation, diligence, compliance, regulatory filings and reputational issues
- Liaising closely with portfolio companies regarding legal, regulatory, compliance and reputational issues
- Working with investor relations team on fund formation and investor communications
- Instructing/working with / managing external counsel
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 years’ post qualification experience required in a leading law firm or financial institution.
- Transaction experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity is required
- Fund formation / asset management skills are a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills; the ability to clearly articulate ideas and develop stakeholder relationships
- Team-oriented with ability to respond and be flexible to client demands while adhering to firm policies and group practices
- Ability to engage proactively as an advisor to the business and collaboratively work with other control areas
