LPN to help build Mobile Urgent Care
Portland Urgent Care is a locally owned, well established and highly regarded urgent care located on Portland's East side. We have also recently developed MobilMED which brings urgent care services to the home, school or business. How does MobilMED work? You will be attending to our patient’s acute care needs right at their home, where a medical provider will join you by video chat.
The business is up-and-running but refinements are needed to make it world-class.
Are you friendly and have an upbeat personality (really)? Are you motivated, independent, and comfortable working in both clinical and non-clinical settings? If so, you have the opportunity to participate and help develop this new approach to managing acute care. The potential for growth is tremendous!
Responsibilities and Duties
With MobilMED you will meet with the patient at their home, business, or school where vital signs and physical exam data will be gathered and uploaded to the physician back at the clinic. The physician then talks with the patient using video chat. Additional tests or treatments may be requested by the provider just like a brick-and-mortar urgent care. Please note – the ability to draw blood samples is required and take limited X-Ray is a huge plus for this position but willing to train the right person.
Training will be in our brick-and-mortar urgent care, Portland Urgent Care.
We are looking for 2 positions. One will be full time in clinic (urgent care) and serve as backup for the full time MobilMED LPN.
Qualifications and Skills
Licensed Practical Nurse in Oregon – limited x-ray is desired for one of the positions. Required skills include Phlebotomy (blood draw) skill, injecting medications, nebulizer treatments, basic lab tests (U/A, strep, mono, flu) (preferably if you have Urgent Care experience or medical assisting background). Friendly with good social skills and enjoys working with patients. Enjoys creative challenges. Proactive. A problem solver that needs minimal direction. Loves work and is not afraid to go the extra mile for your patients.
Send us a resume and cover letter that tells us why you "are the one!" We look forward to talking with you!
