LPN Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the office manager, RN or clinical lead, and the physicians. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care of assigned patients. The LPN may work in a variety of settings and roles within Riverside Medical Group providing hands-on clinical care to include manual vitals, medication review, injections and blood draw. The LPN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. The LPN may be responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of specific patient populations served in their assigned unit/dept. Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health system and facility goals and strategic plans.
Certified Medical Assistant Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the physician, Office Manager, RN, and LPN. The medical assistant performs a wide range of clinical duties including assisting the physician in providing quality care in a medical office setting. The medical assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge required to provide age appropriate care for the patients served in the practice, and skills to interpret assessment in relation to principles of growth and development over the life span. In addition, the medical assistant must be knowledgeable of health insurance guidelines for pre-authorizations and referral processes, and be attentive to scheduling testing and specialist visits within network guidelines

LICENSURE: Licensed Practical Nurse or board eligible by the State of Virginia or compact state, OR Certified Medical Assistant. CPR Required
EXPERIENCE: One year of experience preferred in an doctor's office setting
