A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A LINE COOK / PREP COOK
As a full-time or part-time Line Cook / Prep Cook at our restaurant, you arrive each day determined to ensure that every meal that leaves our kitchen lives up to our standards of quality. You set up and prepare the line for service with all necessary supplies, making sure food items are properly stored and rotated. You assist in the preparation of various kinds of house-made pasta and other food items while using standardized recipes to ensure consistency. You maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas at all times and follow food sanitation standards to the letter.
You work in an organized, coordinated, and efficient manner, ensuring that properly cooked food gets out to our guests in a timely manner. Your attention to detail ensures that each dish meets our established guidelines in every aspect as well as adheres to any special requests. You love working in a fast-paced environment. Your positive attitude and professional approach towards coworkers and patrons alike, contribute greatly to the success of our restaurant. And, a good time is had by all!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME LINE COOK / PREP COOK
- At least 1 year of proven experience in fine dining cooking OR culinary arts training
- Food handler's permit / food safety certification
- Understanding of basic kitchen skills including cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
