JOB IS DISPATCHED EVERY DAY FROM BETHEL PARK, PA
Â· Layout and install pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, athletic courts, and airports according to specifications and other various requirements.
Â· Calculate field measurements using engineered plans and/or google earth images.
Â· Track and record quantities of pavement markings on each project.
Â· Perform traffic control. Example; flagging, short-term lane closures, and slow-moving mobile lane closures.
Â· Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance.
Â· Operate various equipment to install pavement markings, including airless paint machines, air-atomized paint trucks, epoxy plural component trucks, thermoplastic truck and hand liners, and waterblasters.
Â· Load and unload trucks on a daily basis.
Â· Drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job site.
Â· Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Â· Average annual first year salary is $50,000
Â· Laborers Local Union #1058 Employer. Union benefits include: healthcare, pension, and training.

Â· Use work vehicles, not personal vehicles, to travel to and from job sites.

Â· Must have a valid Driverâ€™s License
Â· Must obtain Commercial Driverâ€™s License Permit prior to employment start date.
Â· Must obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driverâ€™s License with Air Brake and Tanker endorsement within six months of employment start date.
Â· Must have a good driving record with no major violations within the last five years or be accepted by the company insurance policy provider to drive PLP Co. vehicles.
Â· Must comply with PLP Co. Substance Abuse Policy and DOT Drug Control Program, which includes pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol testing.
Â· PLP Co. is a union employer. You must join the Laborers Local Union #1058 and pay dues pursuant to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
Â· Must obtain Flagging Certification or Traffic Control Technician Certification.
Â· Typical physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, lifting minimum of 50 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing, and talking.
Â· Employee must supply their own set of hand tools.
Â· High school diploma or GED is required.
Â· Working outdoors with variable temperature and weather conditions.
Â· Honest, trustworthy, dependable.
Â· PUNCTUAL. Must arrive at work by the designated start time.
Â· Willing to work days, nights, weekends, and occasional travel.
Â· Desire to learn and be trained.
Â· Ability to learn through on-the-job training.

Parking Lot Painting Company (PLP Co.) is an established and growing pavement marking organization based in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. Our products include, the installation of pavement markings in waterborne paint, epoxy, thermoplastic, and preformed plastic, and pavement marking removal. Shifts include LONG days, most weekends and many nights during peak season which extends from March through December.
