Mountain West Bank is searching for a motivated and efficient SBA (Small Business Association) Clerk I to join our fabulous Coeur d'Alene Loan Servicing Department! This position performs routine duties related to booking, assembling and verifying the accuracy ofSBA loan documentation; prepare SBA loan documents, service and verify the servicing of booked loans. The loan clerk must be client focused, have a technical capacity, must be thorough, hold confidentiality in the highest regard and must communicate proficiently. This full time SBA Clerk I position in our Loan Servicing department will be scheduled 40 hrs/week Monday - Friday. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Prepare SBA loan documentation and change in terms with accuracy and within the department turn time standards of receipt of a completed loan request. 2. Book all types of SBA loans and change in terms within 24 hours of receipt with accuracy. 3. Perform loan maintenance and complete research requests for SBA loans. 4. Perform routine loan maintenance duties such as: + Process payments + Setup and change AFT's + Correct and reverse loan payments 5. Process SBA loan payoffs. 6. Process and document release of collateral as approved. 7. Work assigned pending and filing weekly, following up on all required items. 8. Conduct review of SBA loan files. Assemble files and notate, follow-up, and track exceptions. Sign off and complete files. 9. Research unposted and WIP / GL items - making necessary corrections to loans. 10. Perform check backs on all SBA loans booked - track errors and follow up on corrections. 11. Complete necessary tasks for HMDA LAR & CRA reporting. 12. Work on required reporting (1502) and special projects as assigned. 13. Cross-train others. 14. Provide prompt, knowledgeable and friendly customer service to internal and external customers 15. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control About You QUALIFICATIONS: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently under time constraints + Strong organizational and time management skills. + Strong attention to detail + Ability to work in within strict timeframes and meet deadlines + Excellent internal and external customer service skills + Well developed written and verbal communication skills + Good knowledge of basic office equipment + Working knowledge of Word and Excel + Participation in one community service event per year. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Prior experience with SBA documentaion + Knowledge of Jack Henry systems WORK ENVIRONMENT:Must be able to routinely perform work both indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level and outside in sometimes inclement weather.
