Local/Delivery Truck Driver at Sonoma Backyard

Summary: Drive a delivery truck to customer’s homes to deliver products safely and providing excellent customer service

• Arrive on time in a presentable manor and ready to work
• Take instructions from supervisor/logistics regarding each day’s deliveries and scheduled pick-ups
• Assist Warehouse Manager to prepare/assemble items before delivery to insure product quality
• Assist in loading and unloading vehicle with items to be delivered
• Check and double check Sales Order to ensure every item is delivered to the customer
• Ensure that items are properly stacked, secured and blanket wrapped on/in delivery vehicle
• Chart out appropriate route for delivery on the map or GPS
• Maintain working knowledge of delivered items
• Ensure that appropriate and complete delivery documentation is available at the time of loading
• Drive vehicle to the point of delivery by using the best possible route
• Ensure all traffic laws are adhered to
• Ensure that the vehicle’s paperwork is in order
• Unloading items off the vehicle in a safe manner
• Ensure that delivery receipts are signed
• Ensure that the delivery schedule is followed
• Inform customer if arrival time is outside scheduled delivery
• Handle customer discrepancies by informing logistics of problems and complaints
• Damaged items are to be return to store for warranty claim or repair
• Report traffic violations and damaged to vehicle

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 /hour
