About the Job
The Contractor shall provide planning, directing, coordinating transportation, storage, and distribution support for Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) under the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) located at the Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport, MS. The Contractor shall manage the CESE program by providing oversite and collecting the relevant data to produce necessary production/management reports to track in-house equipment stored in the warehouse; and track Deployment for Training (DFT) kits located in various Theater of Operations (TO). The Contractor shall conduct inventories and provide shipping, receiving and disposition action for CESE material. Assist with providing commercial trucking companies with directions to Gulfport for pick up or drop off deliveries of equipment/material. Assist with tracking and keeping warehouse physical inventory up to date. Act as POC for East and West coast in all matters pertaining to deployment or shipping/receiving of CESE equipment.
Provide management oversite for the CESE Program. Attend monthly and quarterly meetings to provide input as to the status of the program. Produce and submit Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly reports to track the CESE Program. Attend all monthly and quarterly meetings. Prepare and submit weekly report(s) to be submitted by the COB on the 1st work day following the week being reported. The monthly report shall be prepared and submitted by COB the 1st work day, following the end of the month being reported. Quarterly report(s) shall be submitted by COB on the 3rd work day, following the end of the quarter being reported.
Prepare work requests to process CESE material and equipment for shipment. Conduct inspections to ensure CESE shipments meet all requirements for shipping. Coordinate with local transportation office for shipment of vehicles. Prepare DD1149 shipment documents when necessary for CESE units. Update inventory records when units are shipped for accurate tracking of units to their final destination. Contractor shall conduct inspections of material/equipment being prepared and staged for shipment and preparation of shipping documentation.
The Contractor shall be the liaison with local DRMO representatives. The Contractor shall coordinate DRMO pick up by state or federal agencies. Complete all documentation for units being turned over to DRMO to include SF 120, DRMS 200, DD 1348 and DEMIL certification. Submit documentation into DRMO DTID system and manage all DRMO files and logs associated with DRMO transfer of CESE. Update spreadsheets for each unit to ensure NAVFAC EXWC tracking of CESE shipped to DRMO. Contractor shall coordinate the pick-up and delivery to DRMO of all equipment and material being disposed of through DRMO. Assist with final inspection of CESE to ensure equipment is ready for acceptance by NAVFAC EXWC. Track and update PC Mechanical when units have been completed and returned. Ensure that tracking spreadsheets for equipment processed out for contract from Gulfport to Contractor are updated to show disposition of CESE.
Assist NCBC personnel as they make CESE equipment being prepared and staged for Deployment for Training (DFT) to various Theater of Operations (TO). Inventory and material returning from DFT exercises. Material being returned will be properly identified and updated to the latest National Stock Number (NSN) and that returning material is identified under the correct group, inspected for material condition and replenished, stored or disposed of as required. Prepare shortage lists for kits missing material. Initiate research, surveys for material deemed loss or damaged beyond economical repair and submit replenishment documents to replenish equipment/ material required. Material shall be updated and identified upon receipt of DFT kits.
KILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
Contractor shall possess at a minimum a high school diploma with four (4) years commercial and/or military logistics experience. The Contractor shall be familiar with military terminology and possess a strong background in inventory management, requisitioning procedures and material expediting. Contractor shall have good computer skills to include but not limited to proficiency with Microsoft Word and EXCEL. Thecandidateshall have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education Requirement: High School Diploma.
A bachelor degree in a business related field can substitute for the 4-year experience requirement.
Physical Requirement: Contractor shall be able to lift items up to 30 pounds.
Environmental Requirement: Candidate shall work in a logistical supply environment which may include working in a warehouse, storeroom, office, or a combinationof both.
