Essential FunctionsWe are currently searching for a second shift Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair pneumatic, mechanical and electronic equipment at our Greensboro, NC Hose Assembly Plant. This individual will Install and support pneumatic, mechanical and electrical process improvements. The incumbent will: -Prioritize and manage maintenance workflow and tooling needs -Perform Preventative Maintenance on selected equipment and maintain Preventative Maintenance Program -Resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner and communicates concerns to Supervisor -Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment -Install functional and structural parts in devices or equipment -Disassemble, repair, and rebuild electrical control units, mechanical units, mechanisms and machines -Identify problem areas and safety hazards and work with Supervisor and Safety Team to resolve -Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations -Maintain spare parts inventory and order tools and supplies -Exercise good housekeeping in Maintenance department 5S plus Safety -Perform and train Lock-out/Tag-out training under direction of Safety Coordinator -Understand and support corporate and division Lean Initiatives and Cost Reduction programs -Perform basic metal fabrication using general knowledge of welding and proper torch operation -Work overtime as necessary -Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications-High school degree or GED required. Technical degree from accredited school in related field of study preferred. -Safe working knowledge and skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems -Ability to troubleshoot, program and communicate with all PLC, HMI and electrical systems within the facility -Safe working knowledge up to 480 volts 3 phase industrial plant wiring and code requirements -Mechanical maintenance experience required -Industrial electrical experience including working knowledge of PLC ladder logic required -Excellent math and measuring skills necessary -Must be able to read and use complicated drawings and schematics -Working knowledge of NEC -Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations helpful -A desire to learn with good organizational and PC skills preferred -Certified Welder
