Installs, maintains and repairs capital equipment and buildings in a safe, timely and competent manner. Must be able to identify and solve problems with machinery, equipment and the facility. May be asked to perform a wide range of activities ranging from but not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and janitorial work.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain welders, cranes, hoists, compressors, forklifts, vehicles, electric tools and air tools.
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain metal fabrication equipment, such as saws, milling machines, lathes, drill presses and CNC machining/turning centers.
Help establish and maintain a perpetual maintenance program for all facility and plant equipment.
Ensure the company's fleet of vehicles is kept in a safe and reliable condition.
Perform other general repairs and projects pertaining to the buildings.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, Associates in Industrial Maintenance preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance. Must understand electrical circuits and systems. Must have a working knowledge of and be able to operate of all types of machine tools, CNC and manual. Must have a working knowledge of and be able to operate numerous types of welders and welding equipment. Must have a working knowledge of HVAC systems. Must also have a working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must have a basic understanding of a Maintenance Department's organization and planning.
A physically demanding position requiring heavy lifting and carrying (50-100 lb.). The ability to stand continuously is essential with occasional walking and sitting. The nature of this position will require employee to perform a wide range of physical activities ranging from pushing and pulling heavy objects (50-100 lb.) to crouching, kneeling, bending and handling; and will at sometimes require employee to work from a maximum height of 25 feet.
