The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at the University of Central Oklahoma invites applications for a tenure-track MS Business Analytics Program Director position in Management Information Systems at the Assistant/Associate level.
Applicants hold a Ph.D. from a regionally or internationally accredited institution in the area of Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a closely related field. Candidates are expected to have a balanced commitment towards teaching, research, and service.
Administrative responsibilities include directing the promotion, marketing, recruitment, student advisement, and continued growth of the Master's of Science in MS Business Analytics program at UCO.
Teaching responsibilities involve teaching courses in the Business Analytics master's program such as Python, Data Mining, Data Visualization, and/or Spreadsheet Modeling.
Preferred candidates have the scholarly academic (SA) status per AACSB standards. Preferred candidates have experience teaching and contributing to the growth and success of a program.
Teaching, research, departmental/school and university service is expected. An earned doctorate degree awarded by a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval). **NOTE** If the doctorate is not obtained and submitted by the time of employment, the position rank will change to TT-Instructor. Appointment at the Associate Professor rank may be considered for candidates holding this rank at another institution with comparable requirements.
Demonstrated potential of high quality teaching.
Experience teaching with data analytic tools such as SAS, Tableau, Python and SAP are a plus.
Ability to lead and manage change and growth in an academic program.
Ability to teach introductory and advanced classes in Analytics.
Ability to actively engage students in learning activities.
