Under the Direction of the Clinical Director of Operations, manage the patient care functions of the Head & Neck surgical clinics. Develop and obtain educational materials. Provide analytics utilizing CareConnect, Crimson Reports, and other tools as required to provide program data and quality analysis. Act as adviser to the Department on program policies and procedures, logistics, and programmatic objectives to ensure a high quality cancer care delivery system. Supervise the medical and office staff, and coordinate clinical services. Provide administrative and operational oversight, and physical space management.
Demonstrated effective supervisory skills including experience in recruitment, performance appraisal, identification and communication of expectations, training, and progressive discipline.
Skill in analyzing information and procedures to define objectives, identify patterns, recognize alternatives and their implications, and create reports.
Skill in operating a personal computer and software programs, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Epic.
Interpersonal skills to promote a cooperative and productive work environment and to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, residents, medical students and staff from various social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information utilizing appropriate vocabulary and grammar, create reports, and make presentations.
Working knowledge of the computerized appointment scheduling and registration system, and the ability to effectively train staff in its use.
Working knowledge of University and Hospital policies and procedures to appropriately manage patient registration, cashiering, risk management, and personnel.
Working knowledge of major medical insurance plans.
Demonstrated experience in managing patient services and nursing staff in a private medical practice or community clinic.
Skill in monitoring revenue, collections, and payment reconciliation
Ability to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.
