This is what truly matters to us. **Job Description:** **Catheter Engineering Manager** **Specific requirements:** The Ultrasound Division of Siemens Healthcare is looking for an Engineering Manager for the development of ICE Catheters in Electrophysiology and Structural Heart markets. **RESPONSIBILITIES** · Manage an engineering team including engineers, technicians, contractors, and interns to support the development of new products and the sustaining of current legacy ICE catheter products. · Work with project owners and cross functional teams by managing resource and providing support for multiple projects as above. · Own and maintain DVT engineering capability to support key development effort. Work with manufacturing team to develop their DVT and other sustaining capabilities overseas to sustain the critical products for the business. · Lead the team to establish catheter development process, and work with quality team to ensure appropriate working instructions and procedures in place for development productivity following design change process for a high volume disposable medical device. · Maintain a strong crosslink between catheter engineering with other cross functional teams, sharing knowledge and solving problems throughout a global organization. · Deploy DFSS methodologies to the design of new products. · Ensure engineering designs meet business objectives, design for performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability. · Ensure compliance with product development process, regulatory requirements, and quality management system during product development, verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer. · Drive a high performance culture, providing leadership, coaching and engineering expertise to the team. Address staffing, team/talent development, skill set improvement and performance management needs. **QUALIFICATIONS** · BS or MS in an engineering discipline (ME, EE, materials, etc.) · 8+ years of professional experience in product development in the medical device industry preferably Class III · Demonstrated people leadership experience preferably in a highly regulated industry · Familiar with medical device development process and the procedures complied with quality and regulatory requirements · Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, scheduling and quality of outcomes · Strong interpersonal and communication skills, tenacity and patience to perform in a fast paced environment · Experience of releasing a product globally throughout the entire product development cycle in the medical device industry · Experience of developing and sustaining a high volume disposable medical device preferred · Knowledge of electro-mechanical design, catheter, and/or ultrasound preferred · FDA, ISO, TUV, and medical device knowledge preferred · Self-motivated/self-starter with the ability to learn quickly · Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing preferred *LI-WC1 **Equal Employment Opportunity Statement** Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
