DescriptionPosition Summary:The purpose of this role is to lead an array of learning design initiatives of varying complexity that delight our customers and move the business forward. This role will creatively incorporate the latest thinking in instructional design, technology, and adult development, while creating consistency within our organization-wide programs. On a daily basis, you will cultivate fresh perspectives in learning and development and see meaningful results.Qualified candidates for this role will have prior demonstrated experience in designing learning and development programs and working with various learning technologies that manage program and participation data and deliver exceptional learning experiences, and possess a Bachelor’s degree. Positivity and creativity is a must! Proven project management experience and instructional design, and learning and development technology is required. Knowledge of adult development is highly preferred. Major Responsibilities:- Apply learner-centered design approaches to frame problems and explore solutions that clearly define a vision of what the product or program learning experience is, what it does, and how it looks and works from the learner’s perspective.- Create compelling and impactful learning solution designs that keep pace with the evolving ways people are consuming and being impacted by information. Ensure offerings delight end users and support high transfer of learning. - Articulate innovative and creative design strategies and establishes a high-level learning design plan; implement evidence-based standards, processes, tools and templates for the design and development of learning programs and solutions.- Leverage technology to design and develop high quality, innovative learning content and materials in a variety of formats including, but not limited to print, graphics, multimedia, audio, and video.- Develop, maintain and leverage relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and effectively share knowledge, technology and resources.- Build internal networks to access expertise and relationships with other functional leaders and to leverage functional area knowledge throughout the organization.- Build and sustain relationships with external vendors to increase the consistency and the quality of learning content and to drive efficiency and optimization- Other projects and tasks as identified by the Sr. Manager, Organizational DevelopmentQualifications- Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred majors in: Project Management, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Database Administration, Business Administration- 4 years of proven project management, and instructional design, and learning and development technology experience is required- Learning system experience including design, implementation, and responsibility for systems like Open Sesame, Totara, Kineo, Taleo Learn, D2L, Adeption, or similar progressive learning solutions are highly preferred-Strong foundational knowledge in the areas of instructional design, adult development, performance psychology, human factors, learning and development. - Demonstrated performance in working both independently and collaboratively in the delivery of high stakes, high profile projects. - Excellent project management skills, organization skills, and strong time management skills required- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.- Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.Physical Requirements:-The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
