This role will lead the design of new and existing talent management programs for the Duquesne Light Organization. This role will be responsible for developing programs that enhance identification, development, retention and utilization of organization talent. Programs and processes supported include Employee Engagement, Performance & Goal Management, Talent Planning, Leadership & Employee Training and Development.
Leads Employee Engagement activities, this includes the administration of the annual employee
engagement survey, pulse surveys, action planning, and engagement committees.
Supports Leaders with the Performance & Goal Management process including SMART goal management, process training, calibration and consultation
Deliver company talent planning processes (Succession Planning, 360 Evaluations, Development Plans, etc.)
Designs Training and Development programs for all levels of employee in the organization. This includes High Potentials, Leadership, Coaching/ Mentoring, Soft Skills Training etc.
Responsible for the deployment and effective execution, measurement and tracking of Talent Development programs across the organization.
Supports the implementation and ongoing management of HR LMS system development, training course catalogue, maintains accurate training records, web-based scheduler and Training Server functions
In collaboration with the Corporate Communications team, define and develop channels to communicate process and program delivery to key stakeholder audiences
Establishes and manages vendor relationships (including contracts, program enhancements)
Manages the Talent Development budget for the organization
Roles at this level require a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related field required.
Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, MBA or other closely related field preferred. Relevant experience to be successful in the given role is typically 7 years in HR, Talent Management or related work. At least 3 years of prior management experience is required.
Ability to fully develop program, build business cases and execute ideas
Excellent communication skills, this includes presentation development and delivery skills
Ability to effectively collaborate, influence and negotiate with others; including delivery of difficult change management messages, excellent attention to detail
Responsible for supervising two professional level employees and matrix management of other professional staff based upon project scope.
Improves existing processes & systems using conceptualizing, reasoning, & interpretation skills. Solutions require through understanding of business strategies and issues. Defines broad based solutions that would require consideration of wider implications on organization results & resources.
Primary focus is on day to day management of operational execution also develops and exercises business plans, policies, and procedures. Contributes to proactive planning exercises of management team as requested. Trains and develops staff. Plans the work flow. Looks for areas of process improvement and directs available resources to accomplish this. Leads changes and implementations for direct team as pushed down through the organization.
