About the Job

We are seeking a new Marine Service Engineer, who will be able to inspect, install, repair, and service various shipboard navigation and communication equipment. If you possess a strong knowledge of electronics, and are proficient with PC operation and maintenance, we want to hear from you. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated fast learners and self-starters, who are physically fit enough to climb tall masts, and carry 20-50 lbs. This position will require frequent overtime, domestic and international travel.

Equipment you will be servicing includes: radars, ECDIS, gyrocompasses, steering and autopilots, VDR, GMDSS, AIS, GPS, speedlogs, fathometers, and satellite communication/TVRO. Factory training will be provided as required. However, previous field experience or manufacturer's certifications are a definite plus. Compensation will be based on education, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements include:

FCC GMDSS Radio Operator/Maintainer License with Ship Radar Endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment
Valid driver's license
Valid passport
Credentials to obtain TWIC card and pass thorough government background checks
Formal electronics training, preferably with two years related experience
