Off the Shelf, our backlist blog dedicated to helping readers find their next book, and Book Club Favorites, our social community and newsletter, are looking for a book recommending extraordinaire like you to join the team as marketing associate. The Marketing Associate would support the Editorial direction of Off The Shelf and Book Club favorites: * Serves as project manager for all content from ideation to execution, overseeing editorial calendar overall * Assigns content to/manages relationships with authors, ed board members & freelancers * Brainstorms and defines content, sets guidelines, reviews titles, etc. based on strategies established for brand * Reviews/edits all content * Formats content for copyeditor, transmits to copyediting, and reviews/approves edits * Writes headlines based on SEO best practices * Writes and/or edits daily social copy for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram * Moderates community on social channels, replying to comments, answering DMs, etc. * Takes photos for social and sweepstakes * Oversees sweepstakes coordination with help from admin * With admin shares the following: * Meeting scheduling * Updating and monitoring editorial calendar * Ed Board notes, trafficking ed board content, follow up emails and deadlines * Sweepstakes execution and fulfillment * Programming content for the website, uploading to wordpress, sourcing photos and adding metadata * Drafting sweepstakes rules and trafficking to legal * Traffics files and tracks invoices from freelancers
