As a Lead Software Engineer in the Marketing Cloud Smart Alerts team you will be blazing a new trail from the path of simple alerts to Smart Alerts. You will develop data driven, software based solutions that reduce the need for human intervention as well as to provide customer insights. This product will be cloud agnostic and built with the mindset that software must be flexible, as well as testible to ensure we are nimble and ready for the future.
You will be tasked with designing the solution which coordinates multiple sources of information in order to work from alerts, to the ultimate root cause. You will take management requirements to independently create the product technical design. You will lead the effort of developing software solutions which improve resilience, reduce manual troubleshooting, and encourage service ownership. You have a record of demonstrating good judgment and expertise in selecting methods and techniques for developing solutions. Doing more with less is a challenge in which you excel.
Must take ownership and accountability for one's actions, and be known for meticulous attention to detail.
Must have the ability to provide effort estimation and complete work based on a schedule of activities in coordination with Operations Manager and Project Manager.
May be required to define requirements for, and/or write/test custom tools to handle system automation tasks (installation, configuration, monitoring, etc).
Participate in on-call rotation (approximately one or two times per quarter)
Experience Designing and Developing Full-Stack Applications
Have Designed and Developed applications to perform tasks such as RESTful HTTP API, Stream Data processing, ETL, File migration with any of:
Understanding of Microservice Architecture
Have scripted using shell/perl/python/powershell to automate repeatable tasks such as deployment, tuning of services
Working knowledge of build tools like Jenkins/Teamcity/Travis
Understanding/management of code repositories like perforce/svn/cvs/git
Experience with other cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of RHEL/CentOS7.x or above
Experience in using Expert Systems for monitoring enrichment
Experience deploying software in a large scale environment which requires cross-team coordination
Experience with software containers like Docker/Kubernetes.
Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
Knowledge of Agile Development or Scrum Project Management methodologies.
Knowledge of ITIL Industry practices.
Detailed, organized and results oriented. Demonstrate deep analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting expertise
