Overview: This is a hands-on position with responsibility for the control and movement of material within the stockroom and Microsemi Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP). This includes, but is not limited to, issuing of stock material to production jobs, component kitting for system jobs, cycle counts, and stockroom organization.
Inventory control, traceability and maintenance of all Stockroom and Point-of-Use points
Perform daily cycle counts.
Become extremely familiar with ERP Modules pertaining to position.
Material Picking- responsible for collecting Discrete Job orders, finding the appropriate products and delivering the order and materials to the appropriate production area.
Material Repackaging- responsible for repackaging products safely as per repackaging specifications.
Conduct daily warehouse cleaning/organization in line with the 6S philosophy.
Other duties as assigned by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
Observes all departmental and Quality System procedures and work instructions.
Supports Microsemis commitment for continuous improvement.
Follows and abides by all EH&S policies, practices, and procedures in association with department specific responsibilities.
Responsible for reporting all near misses, accidents, and dangerous occurrences through the appropriate Company procedures to ensure an investigation is initiated.
Cooperate with all root cause investigations and follow corrective actions and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Assist in shipping and receiving activities when necessary.
High School Diploma or GED.
Proven work record with warehousing, inventory control and accuracy, with 1 to 3 years experience.
Must be able to document records in English and communicate orally and in writing in English.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others.
Must be able to effectively work independently and as a team.
Comfortable working with cross functional teams
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast paced environment.
Strong commitment to teamwork and process.
Experience in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, Access)
2+ years of experience with Oracle or similar ERP system
High Precision timing, test and measurements experience a plus.
High School education preferred.
This job operates in an environment employing a variety of manufacturing and test techniques. This role routinely uses standard manufacturing and test equipment in addition to application specific systems.
Physical Demands / Mental Demands
Incumbent may sit in a stationary position for a long period of time.
Frequent use of manufacturing and test equipment and exposure to computer screens.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift 25-50 pounds.
Must have the ability to multi-task, often performing multiple functions simultaneously.
