This is what we were meant to do - Together!The Medical Assistant performs nursing procedures and assists physician with patient care tasks.Provides for comfort needs of patients, maintains a safe and attractive environment for patients and co-workers, transports patients and equipment asappropriate. Instills confidence in the patient by maintaining a neat and attractive appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner.Accepts reassignment as needed to provide necessary care for all patients. Documents care performed by correctly charting per office guidelines.Handles patient phone calls relating to medical questions, requests or concerns. Schedules medical procedures at appropriate facilities with coordinationof pre-authorization/benefit coverage. Assists in stocking, cleaning, and daily preparation of medical exam and procedure rooms. Verifies that all medicalequipment is in working order and sterile. Taking and recording vital signs and entering into medical record system. Record history of patient includingmedications, allergies, past surgeries, etc. and documents complaints. Actively assists in maintaining sample closet per policies and procedures manualAbstracting of charts and medical records into the electronic medical record system.Assists Physician, PA and/or APRN during patient exams and procedures. Makes patient recalls and follow up reports.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Additional college or Vocational Training preferred or Equivalent experience of 3 years
