Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel, including procedures, injections, EKGs
- Record patient care documentation in the medical record
- Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
- Organize exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program
- Microsoft Office and typing proficiency
- Working knowledge of health insurance: HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid
- Current BLS Card OR willingness to obtain it in 30 days
- Certified medical assistant
- 1+ years medical assistant work experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience in primary care or internal medicine
