Under the direction of the Manager, answers and screens all telephone calls. Documents messages as required regarding illness, prescription refills, lab, radiology, imaging reports, test results, referrals, etc. Makes and edits appointments via computer. Organizes provider's correspondence. Registers patients in a timely and appropriate manner. Verifies data or enters changes to the demographic and insurance screens. Posts co-pays and payments. Balances manual and CRT batches at the end of each session. Submit and process needed prior authorizations for in office procedures and testing ordered by providers. Works tasking system in a timely manner, confirms patient appointments and participates in the Lean system. Familiarity with IDX, Allscripts, and/or Meditech software systems preferred.
