Texas Oncology is searching for a vibrant, team player to join our busy Texas Oncology Plano West site as a Medical Physicist. The successful candidate will share duties with another Board Certified Medical Physicists. This site has 1 CMD dosimetrist, 4 radiation therapists and 1 Chief radiation therapist.

The Texas Oncology Plano West site has 1 Varian Truebeam linac with OSMS and a 6D couch. The site also has a Varian 21EX and an Elekta microselectron HDR unit. The site treats IMRT, VMAT, DIBH, SRS and SBRT. The SRS/SBRT program is robust and experience with those procedures it preferred. The site also has a very active HDR program and Radiopharmaceuticals. Experience with those procedures is necessary. Texas Oncology has over 50 radiation oncology sites in the state of Texas, so you will have access to the experience and expertise of many physicists. Texas Oncology also provides many vendor webinars, its own journal club and the opportunity to serve on many physics committees.
Master's degree in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university. Minimum two to five years experience in clinical radiation physics. Current certification or in the process of obtaining certification by the American Board of Radiology is required. Must maintain certification and continuing education requirements outlined by American Board of Radiology. Must obtain and maintain a valid Texas state license for medical physics as required.
