Overview of Responsibilities:
The individual will be the key liaison between the doctors and nursing home. This individual will support generating revenue by accurately entering doctor charges for services rendered. The role requires a lot of data entry and some phone work.
? Enter billing charges for nursing home doctors.
? Enter patient demographics into EMR system
? Check eligibility of insurances through EMR as well as NGS, Availity, Medi/HFS websites
? Print and send agendas when needed
? Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentially of medical, personal, and financial information.
? Check fax machine in business office daily.
? Maintain operations by following corporation’s policies and procedures.
? Other duties deemed necessary and appropriate by the Practice Manager.
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
- 2 years of medical charge entry experience
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- High School Diploma, related on-the-job experience, or an associate degree.
