What are we looking for in a Therapist?

Therapists at Comprehensive utilize evidence-based practices to provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. Therapist positions require excellent listening and communication skills, as well as a desire to collaborate to assist each client with reaching his or her recovery goals. Clinical supervision and training inevidence-based practices are provided as part of this position. We have three outpatient positions available in Yakima: two on our traditional adult outpatient team, and one on our Rehab team which serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness.

Therapist duties may include:

• providing individual and family therapy
• facilitating behavioral health groups
• completing mental health intakes and assessments
• collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
• assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
• assisting with case management as needed
• thorough and timely completion of required clinical documentation

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field
