This home office based position will be located within the territory, which includes: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, N & S. Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin. The Midwest Sales Manager should excel in identifying sales opportunities, developing relationships with key, strategic decision-makers and managing the sales process. Construction related degrees, (Architectural, or Marketing, Economics, Construction Management) a plus. . The Mid-West Regional Sales Manager must be able to collaborate with Regional Independent Representatives, other Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales team, on multiple projects. This position is responsible for planning travel (as needed up to 40% of the time), effective appointment setting and requires good written/ communication skills. Ability to effectively interface with architects, contract managers, general contractors, contract glaziers and sales representatives in order to provide responsive pricing and code compliant product and design solutions (particularly related to fire protection and safety glazing). Desired Skills and Experience Strong follow-up and negotiation skills required. Frequent travel is required to support the outside sales force. Must be a team player, must be skilled in the Microsoft Office environment. Execute the job with a positive attitude towards customers and a willingness to assist coworkers. Stay apprised of products additions and eliminations as they occur.
